Black Bean BBQ Veggie Patty Burger


INGREDIENTS
  • Italian bread roll
  • Sliced onion
  • Fine chopped cucumber [remove seeded part]
  • Black bean veggie patty [Morning Star]: cooked in the microwave
  • Tomato puree
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil
  • BBQ sauce [Sugar free]
  • Tomato basil vinaigarette salad dressing [Sugar free]
BURGER UP!
  1. Caramelize the onions. That means you fry them with a tablespoon of vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons of tomato puree until you see black residue sticking to the pan.
  2. Toss the cucumbers with tomato basil vinaigarette.
  3. Cook the black bean patty, chop it up in slices and toss it with BBQ sauce.
  4. Toast the Italian bread roll.
  5. Lay a first layer of caramelized onions, top with cucumbers, and finish with the BBQ patty bits.
  6. Serve with a crispy side of Town House Italian Cheese and Herb Tortillas.
