INGREDIENTS
- White whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup + a couple of tablespoons
- Milk, 1/2 cup
- Sugar, 1/4 cup or zero calorie sweetener (10-13 sachets of Equal)
- Cardamom powder, 1/2 teaspoon
- Mashed banana, 1/2 of one large banana
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
- In a mixing bowl, add flour and baking soda.
- In a cup, mix milk, cardamom powder, and sugar/sweetener.
- Gradually, while stirring with fork, add the milk mixture to the flour in the mixing bowl.
- Add mashed banana and mix well.
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Use a tablespoon to pour batter into the oil and fry the dumplings until golden brown.
- Test for sugar by frying one dumpling first and add more to the batter according to taste.
- Serve hot!
