This Spring (2017) I am committing to handwritten snippets of poetry wherever I can find the space to write. Letters and Pieces (2017) is a 30 poem collection written impromptu (according to prompts given by NaPoWriMo.net) throughout the month of April (2017) for National Poetry Writing Month. As days go by, the Index for Letters and Pieces will grow.
Day 10: Today's poem is a scribbled piece from the various pieces. I liked putting this couplet down on a Starbucks envelope that comes with a card. And then up it went on my birdcage to compliment the canaries.
While I think there is a lot of truth in the 1st line, the second line I just don't buy. It sounds pretty, but I don't think there is any truth to it.
