Fighting My Heartbeat

Late, on a stubborn evening,
Were engaged in a tough combat.
A sinister clash, lethally cold,
Both aggressors won't last.
It spoke a language of its own,
Rage! An internal mutiny.
Naive! In a violent world,
So vulnerable to treachery.
No matter how hard you pull the leash,
To succumb the opponent to defeat.
Each blow costs a hundred deaths,
When you try to fight your heartbeat.
