I am the biggest hypocrite in the universe to be giving this advice. Ever since high school finished I have compromised this rule like a reckless rebel. There is a reason all the old wives tales and old nursery rhymes go on and on about becoming "healthy, wealthy, and wise" on waking up early. The main culprit behind not waking up early is not going to bed early. Ha! And why do I do that? Because I am using the night oil to brighten some quality Me Time. Why? Because during the daytime I am getting the world's work done.
I have observed that a day started at sunrise is the best day you can have. You have more hours, you feel a much bigger burst of energy [provided you have slept early], and you are ready to take on the 9 to 5 people at the right time! --- by that I mean if you are a Stay At Home Mom/Homemaker/Wife etc. all the calls to doctors' offices, businesses, and yaddi yaddi yadda will be done at the right business hours. Mostly, people are more responsive during the early hours. Comes the lunch time and they begin to daydream!
Yeah, wake up early isn't in my vocabulary either. I don't much like the early mornings. I, too, stay up late. I am much more productive after the noon hour. :)
ReplyDeleteO! I heard you! I function like a vampire --- even though I do feel that early mornings can be very very productive if I get my chai
DeleteOne day I'll fix sleeping late and hopefully wake up early too! :D
