From the powerful jam in my intestines due to constipation to the subconscious worrying that causes TMJ at night, The Abbie has been under continuous pressure. And, you start realizing that the pressure is destroying you when you get a bite plate to munch all night between your jaws, tight body muscles, and acid reflux! Okay --- TMI.
Today's advice is --- take it easy and don't let the pressure eat you up. I pre-prepare instead of going crazy in the head and over-preparing or anything and everything. For instance, if I am taking my mother for a doctor's appointment then it is her panic that combines with mine and creates a major panic overload. So, I pre-plan things. My outfit of the day is ready, and a matching headscarf is pre-picked so I don't have a bad Hijab day.I have the lunch packed and ready, I have all the IDs and cards and etc. in the right place in my bag so I don't pull out the 'I'm A Victoria's Secret Angel' loyalty card at a pain management office *LAUGHS* So while my mother is throwing a panic fit, I am keeping cool and zipping my boot which has been prepped up with my orthotic soles that I had taken out of my kitchen shoes the day before. Yes --- I have a tough life!
Generally, to prevent pressure buildups, I operate through a daily planner! I have To-Do Lists, Grocery Lists, To File Lists, and a list for everything that can rain on my parade!
Do yourself a favor and PLAN to avoid pressure! Or you'll end up with a bite plate!
For certain aspects in life I find it hard to plan, even though I agree with you, being prepared is half the battle!
ReplyDeleteKeep hanging on. I am hanging by the same fragile thread! It is not always possible to plan 100% effectively. i must admit I desert my planner when i have mood swings
DeleteMy planner has been ignored since a while and my life has turned all messy! :( must get back to it!
