"It takes fortitude to stand still"
I heard that sentence today in Arrow by a villain nicknamed the Clock King, but that is irrelevant. The same message is in the opening track of Orange Is The New Black "Taking steps is easy, standing still is hard". The social sphere around us is pretty dynamic and some of us (like me) live lives that are slow-paced. We take one day at a time and that standing still takes great courage because the ones who are running around tend to blow raspberries at you. The wild, wild winds can rock our existence and distract our aim. But spiritual strength, patience, and belief in God's master plan can sum up to the best weapon - FORTITUDE. Fortitude can be the sidekick word for this year then. While I "reinvent" myself, like I wrote for word of 2016, I need to develop fortitude. The idea is to stand still and aim at the bigger picture, the destined path.
Such an important message. It's also perception -- are other people moving as quickly as you think they are? Sometimes I need to remind myself that perhaps they don't think they're moving as quickly as I think they're moving.
