Living The Snowzilla Blizzard Jonas 2016

"One of the worst snow storms in history shuts down East Coast." - a latest headline on Twitter reads as I sit here typing in my study after a hot bath and a magical cup of Chai. And despite the fact that my main door and garage doors are boarded up with 2 feet of snow, I am anticipating a trip to the Keurig (kitchen feels like a trip in the lazy snowmaggedon mood) for a hot cup of cocoa.

JONAS BONE CHILL SURVIVAL

TAKING IT NOT TOO SERIOUSLY
I didn't take the blizzard too seriously because --- obviously --- they named it Jonas and this insane graphic kept popping up all over the internet. Highly disturbing, right?
On a serious note I had stocked the pantry, collected a good stash of water, and planned a cook-a-thon for Friday morning to prep in case of a power outage. I have good apocalypse prep practice from back in time when they'd announced Irene and it was my first rain storm. Coming back to Jonas, my brother had arranged two shovels that he and his Mrs. would be using to dig out the driveway. And I had my fleece PJs and fuzzy socks ready. The forecast said 2 feet of snow and that it was a record breaking storm hitting the East Coast since the Snowmageddon of 2010.
